Industrial Plants

Currently, installing an ExtraJool module on a large industrial plant with our early-access client, we are installing 160MWhe/an.
In large-scale industrial sites , including glass, chemical, metalworking, incineration, and other energy-intensive sector, a highly significant portion of energy is still lost as heat from ovens, kilns, dryers, and cooling systems. ExtraJool’s technology captures this wasted heat efficiently and cost-effectively, converting it into renewable electricity.

Energy Boiler

Currently, with our early-access client we are valorizing heat from high-power boilers. Installation is planed for 2026.
On an industrial site equipped with an energy boilers, significant volumes of heat were previously released into the atmosphere, resulting in major energy losses.

By integrating ExtraJool modules, the residual heat from boiler exhaust is now captured and converted into renewable electricity directly on site. This clean energy complements the site’s power needs while reducing its reliance on fossil fuels.

The result: improved energy efficiency, lower operating costs, and a concrete contribution to decarbonizing industrial activity. The site now benefits from a circular energy system where waste heat is reintegrated into the process, without disrupting production.

Biomass Cogeneration

Making biomass even cleaner and smarter: generating more electricity and wasting less heat from your cogeneration operations.
Biomass and cogeneration plants already produce both heat and power, yet a significant portion of the heat generated in the process remains unused. Throughout the year, these facilities often struggle to fully utilize this thermal energy, leading to efficiency losses.

ExtraJool modules recover the remaining heat downstream of the turbine and convert it into additional electricity. This integration increases the overall energy yield of the plant, optimizes resource use, and reduces CO₂ emissions per megawatt-hour produced, making biomass cogeneration even cleaner and more efficient.

Does it affect my current process?

Not at all. Our system works independently, with no disruption to your operations, not even during installation. You focus on your everyday production while we create a secondary circuit that generates electricity.

How much heat is needed to run one module?

Each ExtraJool module operates efficiently with heat streams >180 °C and and >100kWth, delivering unmatched performance.

The electricity output depends on your available heat source — the higher the temperature, the better the efficiency, as it follows the Carnot physical law. However, our module is fully adaptive to varying temperature and power levels, ensuring reliable operation even under changing conditions.

What's the maintenance plan?

Our module is designed with a frugal approach, using the simplest and most durable elements to last a lifetime. Robust by design, each module is monitored in real time with built-in remote diagnostics through our custom dashboard. Furthermore, the module is designed to last 20years with recyclable composants.

What's the power output per module?

It depends on your heat flow, your waste heat will determine the electricity we will produce — to calculate your specific potential contact us.

At present, we are deploying a 20 kWe module on site, while the next generations of ExtraJool will reach 100 kWe and eventually 500 kWe. Contact us for any module !
